Anna & frog

Rhythmajix was set up in 2008 by Anna Green, an independent, professional trainer and facilitator with a long-standing interest in, and passion for, hand drumming. What better way to indulge a passion than to incorporate it into the day job!

Anna has been playing hand drums - mainly the West African djembe drum - for over ten years. She has trained in drum circle facilitation with Arthur Hull of Village Music CirclesTM.

In 2008, Anna attended several courses run by the Therapeutic Drumming Foundation, from an introductory weekend through to Advanced Diploma level.

HR logoIn July 2010 Anna attended a Remo HealthRHYTHMS® training in London UK (the first course to be run in the UK) and became a trained HealthRHYTHMS®facilitator.

In setting up Rhythmajix, Anna has combined her love of facilitation and groupwork with her love of drumming.

In 2011, Paul Wrigley (formerly of Thumbdrum) became a partner in Rhythmajix.  Paul is an experienced musician with interests in folk, jazz and world music. An experienced singer, guitarist and percussionist, Paul also plays appalachian dulcimer and tin whistle.

A former teacher, with 23 years experience in secondary education, Paul left teaching in 2008 to set up his own business, under the name of Thumbdrum.  Paul is very flexible in his methods and approach and has provided drum and percussion-based activities in a variety of settings.  He has, of course, also used his classroom experience to work extensively with schools, children's centres and youth groups: he has led after-school drum groups, worked with single classes and whole year groups and facilitated performance groups on activity days.

Paul has also attended  training in drum circle facilitation with Arthur Hull of Village Music CirclesTM, who is internationally regarded as the founder of the drum circle movement.

We have public liability insurance and are individually CRB checked.
